"...I will boast of my God, for in His strength I can do all things..." Alma 26:12

Elder Quinn wrote...  I have a new favorite scripture and hymn.  My new favorite scripture is - Alma 26:12 - and surprise it is about Ammon (one of Chases favorite stories).  Ammon says that he does not boast in his own strength but he delights to boast in God's strength.  This week we have been learning a lot about humility, and that all we do is bring the gospel to people.  It is up to the Spirit to testify to them.  Without the spirit they can never gain a full testimony of the Gospel  Next, My new favorite hymn is #221 "Dear to the Hear of the Shepard  We sang it at Tuesday night's devotional and the words really hit me. Everyone read it and see how much it talks about Missionary work.   It's awesome!

 Alma 26:12  (From the Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Christ)"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."


Dear to the Hear of the Shepard  (verses 1 and 4) 

1. Dear to the heart of the Shepherd,
Dear are the sheep of his fold;
Dear is the love that he gives them,
Dearer than silver or gold.

Dear are his “other” lost sheep;
